Lion King Workshop – Lion King/Hamlet connection

December 5, 2017 @ 3:15 pm - 4:30 pm

To enrich the experience of our upcoming Kennedy production, Lion King Jr., we will be holding various workshops to explore related topics. The first workshop was held in October and focused on African Drumming.

In December we have two additional workshops planned:

Tuesday, December 5th from 3:15-4:30 pm, Stacey, the director of our Lion King production, will take us through an expository class exploring the Lion King / Hamlet connection in a fun and age-appropriate way for our students.

Wednesday, December 6th from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, Mandy Bell, our Lion King choreographer, will discuss and demonstrate the finer points of theater and African rhythmic dance.

All workshops will be held in Ms. Mori’s dance studio (room 417). Please RSVP to Marie Carter or Debbie Moore.

All students, siblings, and parents are welcomed to participate. The event is free of charge and open to sibling/parent participation however, a suggested donation of $10 per family will be appreciated to cover the cost of the event.

The parent meeting for the play will be on January 10th and details will follow.

Questions about these workshops or the Lion King Jr. production should be directed to Marie Carter at mcarter2700@gmail.com or Debbie Moore at debbie@m00re.org or text to 415-531-1258.
